Title: Power adapter for DIR-855
Post by: JimRR on December 31, 2010, 07:25:15 PM
My house was flooded a couple of months ago and the power adapter for my DIR-855 was plugged into a power strip on the floor and was submerged.  Because it's a switching power supply it was ruined.

Does anyone know where I can buy another?  I've written to D-Link support several times with no response.  I bought one labeled "D-Link" on Amazon but the router just flickered and reset constantly.  So I bought another rated at 12v 2a but the connector did not fit into the DIR-855. (what size power connector does the DIR-855 take?  It's not in the specs).

Has anyone had any luck buying a replacement power adapter?

Try this place. I had to get an odd power supply for a NetGear switch about 6 months ago. Works great. Just match up the power specs and plug polarization. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Furry,

It looks like they have what I need.  I'm checking plug dimensions.

Thanks again for the tip
