Will this AP/Router ever support IPv6?, tested latest firmware (2.05) and it doesn't include IPv6..

It depends. It looks like that for example in Germany ipv6 isn't supported on DIR-600.

I would recommend finding a router that supports IPv6 in your region and if your ISP supports and provides services. Dlink has some routers that support IPv6.

why D-link didn't try to add support for ipv6 on DIR600 via new firmware release?!
why should I pay for another piece of hardware since already payed once?

What HW version is this router?
What FW version is currently loaded?

Many factors in working in developing code and HW for routers. It's also a marketing thing as well. If you really needed IPv6, and if your ISP is servicing IPv6 currently, then I would research on getting a model the does, if you really need and gotta have it?

europe i presume...(HW B2 only, which is sold in this area)
is a FW derived from FW for HW B5, as i understand from D-Link (is a beta version to support IPV6)

latest update: 2.11 update for iPV6 support on DIR600 (you must install first 2.10 then 2.11)...this time will work (acc. guys wich tested this FW on DIR600 HW B2)

today...i managed to set-up IPV6 on my laptop&desktop via DIR-600 (at least acc. on-line test provided by my ISP), on both machines i use WinXP.

FW used 2.10 (for HW:B2, europe area):

(beta version from our local on-line D-Link support)

PS: my ISP started tests for ipv6...

Hi,

Are you sure hardware B5 exists?
I'm trying to find more information on it but D-Link Web sites and FTP servers are showing things for B2 only...  :-[

Leave off the ftp:// formatting in the fourm for FTP sites.  Don't hyperlink FTP site. ;)

yes, sold probably only in this area (Europe/RO)
