I receive an audio error when trying to play albums ripped from CD to my music library. The error is: Audio Error: An error occurred while trying to play back your selection.
These file are normal WAV files ripped directly to my computer using Windows Media Player. They play fine on my computer.
The only files that will play through the 750 are MP3's. Is there some particular reason that the 750 will not play WAV files? Are there certain flavours of WAV files that it doesn't like?

Where do you see this error on your TV from the DSM-750 or on your PC? All WAV files should all work fine I have never ran into an issue with WAV playback
-
The error appears on the extender, not on the computer. Media Center on the computer plays the wav files just fine.
The strange thing is that I can play the albums and files just fine in Media Lounge Mode on the extender, but not in Media Center mode.
Any ideas?

All WAV files are lossless that is an uncompressed format it should work fine. I will test it on my setup and revert back with my results.

Yes, please report back. Use WMP 11 to rip a CD into the WAV format, and tell me what happens when you try to ply it with the 750.

Is there any update on this?
-
Yup.. It seems I am having the same issue when ripped from WMP11 but I have gotten some others to work, strange...and it work in Media Lounge mode. We are currently looking into this issue and checking with Microsoft.

A future firmware update on the DSM-750 will address this issue.

Is there any word on the status of this error. I think it's a pretty serious error when the extender can't play back wav files ripped with WMP. I just updated the firmware to my DIR-655 and the error still exists, so it's probably not an issue with the router.

Yeah, We are still working to resolve this issue it may be an update that has to be made to Windows Media Center from Microsoft so I do not have any details at this time.

I see to be getting a lot of audio errors as well. It seems to be a problem with the CDs that I have ripped with WMP 11. It is happening with mp3s.
Anybody else having issues with CDs ripped with WMP 11 to mp3s?
