Title: Double nat isssues

Ok I m a newbie and I use my router for online gaming. I have the router hooked up to a DSL router and Im pretty sure I have a double NAT issues thats causing me connection issues on my PS3 can anyone point me in the direction to resolve this? either a good website or even provide me the steps to take care of this?

Your DSL router is also your modem?

If your on DSL, have your ISP bridge or put the DSL modem into bridge or transparent mode. You might need to enter in the username and password into the 655 router Internet/Manual section. This should fix the double NAT issue. Seen this before. It works.

Could also just bridge the 655.

then you loose the features and options of the router.  :-\

I'm havin this problem as well. I was getting nat 3 but I bridged my modem and now am at nat 2. I'm trying to get it to nat 1. I set up a static ip on my ps3 and put it in the dmz but am still gettin type 2. What now?

Yeah, none of that worked. Can I even reach nat 1 with a router?

No, you will not get NAT 1 as that is a result code for a direct connection to the modem to a game console. Nat 2 is a result code for a router connection. Your getting a correct code for using a router.
