Title: Unable to open Port 21

I have a DNS-323 that I can;t get my FTP to work.

For some reason no matter what I try I can't open ports on the DIR-655

I have the virtual server set as such.

Checked with open port tool.

It says the port is refused.

I'm running Norton internet security. but I don't think the firewall is blocking it????

turn Norton IS off and try again

Turned off the firewall.....no luck

How about port forwarding options on the router. Try using them?

What port are you trying to open. Comcast blocks 80 on outgoing. Some others too.

Ports 80 and 23 are open. It's port 21 for FTP  is the one I can't. And I have tried to open port 12345 for instance but it won't work. I had the FTP working for about year and then it stopped.

No matter what I try I can't open a port number on the DIR-655 whether through the virtual server or Port forwarding????

What the heck is going on????
