soooo frustrated, sorry for noobness. someone else set up the network and conveniently didnt remember the password or write it down, but the internet always auto logged in for them so hey what do they care?
anyways i couldnt auto log in one day, and after asking i changed the 'network' password. this caused my parents laptop, the printer, and ps3 to not able to connect to the internet/print/whathaveyou. got the laptop and ps3 by just re-logging in with the new password. but the printer...nope.
ive been reading up on this and it seems that i followed the instructions, i managed to connect the printer wirelessly to the dir615 and set up a DHCP reserve for the new ip, and have connection. but still cannot print. i had been mucking around with the ports earlier, but have since tried all of them that could make sense? i have noclue what is wrong!!! ahhhhhhh sorry, some help please?
i ran command prompt also and typed NET SHARE, where it shows the printer as having a different IP? though the one on the printer console screen and the router control match, they are not what the command prompt tells me the IP for the printer is. but i cannot change the DHCP to this newfound IP address because it is outside the boundaries set by the DHCP. so confusing. sorry. thanks

Did you re-add the printer to windows and direct it to the IP address of the printer? Print a config page from the printer and it should show the connected IP address.

Why not make this easy and just install the printer on a desktop or laptop thats stable in one place and share it on the network.
