Title: No streaming video from 1522?
Post by: cmarinetti on July 31, 2008, 06:13:20 PM
Hi, I hope someone here can help me with this.

I'm trying to stream video using TVersity from a PC through a 1522, to a DGL-4500 router, to another 1522, and finally to my PS3.

PC ---> 1522 (bridge) ---> 4500 ---> 1522 (bridge) ---> PS3. The PS3 does not see my TVersity.

I've also tried the following:

Same PC with DWA-160 ---> 4500 ---> 1522 (bridge) ---> PS3. This works fine.

Another PC with TVersity hard-wired to the DGL-4500: PC ---> 4500 ---> 1522 (bridge) ---> PS3. This works fine.

Both PCs are Windows XP. Everything can ping everything else. I can stream video from one of my ReplayTVs to the other through exactly the same connection (1522 ---> 4500 ---> 1522) that doesn't work with TVersity.

It looks like the 1522 is somehow preventing TVersity from connecting through it to the router, although the other 1522 lets it connect from the router to the PS3. I can't find any setting that might be doing this. Help would be appreciated.

Since no one seems to have any ideas and I'm out of options, I've put the DWA-160 in place of the 1522 and TVersity works fine.

D-link, this seems like a glitch in the 1522 and something you should be looking at, IMO.
