I was speaking/chatting with a securespot rep the other day. They told me that it was originally planned for the dir-655, but then they changed their mind. Then the dir-625? did well and they are reconsidering adding to the dir-655...
will there ever be an firmware for the dir-655 with securespot, is this plannend?
i would like to test it

Hmmmm, I think D-Link prefer sell DSD-150 hw :-\.... donīt you???

Acutally, I wish Securespot was available on ALL of our routers as a on/off toggle.
DSD-150 has limited throughput performance and has a hard time keeping up with newer 15D/2U+ cable/fiber connections. It's great for DSL. But thats about it.
It's based on around 133 (i think) or so MHZ cpu unlike the 400Mhz cpu in the dgl-4500/DIR-855.
Also the BSecure 2.0 is pretty nice.

Hi,
I found the Securspot tests on the DIR-655 rather weak in the anti-spyware and anti-virus areas as compared to whats available in the marketplace. Sure its a bit easier doing it all from one location, but the subscription prices they noted were too high for me and I suspect a LOT of other folks.

I mostly use it for filtering. AntiVirus and AntiSpyware I use CA's tools, which are provided free with RoadRunner.
