Title: DNS-343 Orientation
Post by: JavaLawyer on January 18, 2011, 04:59:12 AM
From an airflow perspective, should a DNS-343 function normally if oriented on it's side rather than standing up?  I am concerned about airflow, in particular because of the close proximity of the four HDDs.  Has anyone tested this or have any comments?

The design pulls air from the front base out the back. I would assume as long as the front vent is not blocked and the back fan vents have sufficient ventilation area you should be fine. Although reading an OLED sideways would be challenging :).

Thanks for the input.  Reading challenges aside, I think I'll take my chances.
