Title: PSP Connection Problem
Post by: Sherlock on September 01, 2008, 08:59:20 AM
I'm about to give up with this simple task of connecting my PSP with my 655.  I see in several threads people connecting their PSPs easily but for the life of me, I cannot seem to connect mine.  My initial configuration is:

Firmware 1.11SH
Mixed n and g
Auto channel scan checked
Channel width - 20 Mhz
Invisible
WPA-Personal
WPA
TKIP
Interval 3600

I've tried various combinations (i.e. Auto WPA / WPA2, WEP, even no encryption) but whenever I connect, my PSP gives me the same message "Connection error - check the security settings of your network", etc.  For those who were able to connect their PSPs, could you tell me what kind of configuration you are using?  Should I be adjusting other settings (like WISH or QoS, etc.)?  Would really appreciate any help.  Thanks.

Try making your network visible and see if the PSP will connect.

I was having the same sort of issue with my DS, try setting it to visible but mixed B and G, my DS wants WEP so i got that setup and working ok there, but now it drops the connection and it tells me it cant get an IP address... so the wireless icon starts off green then goes red then sometimes goes green and then red again....  is this a the dreaded dropped connections i was hearing about... do i have to get the 1.2 firmware to fix this?
