Title: Is it possible to use the DNS-323 with MS Home server win 32?
Post by: escaramujo on September 02, 2008, 02:59:37 PM
1. Is it possible to use the DNS-323 with MS Home server win 32?

2. Home server has its own backup program, can this be used instead of the default that comes with DNS-323?

3. In the Oct issue of Maximum PC there is an article, "How to Build a NAS Box." They refer to a FreeNAS OS, is it possible to install this OS in the DNS-323?

I would appreciate a promp responce to this questions if possible. Thank you.

1) Are you referring to using it in a domain environment?

2) I have not tried this but if you can use it with mapped drives I dont see why not.

3) I am very sorry but this is not a supported feature and would void warranty of the unit.
