Title: DLink SP1 Park Music
Post by: mslaga on September 04, 2008, 02:27:26 PM
With SP1, we now have the option for park music.  According to the Admin GUI, you can enable park through the audio input on the DVX.  Does the DLink DVX support this, and if so can the round plastic cover over the audio input safe to remove without warranty issues?

Got a response from DLink support:

Yes it supports music input. You will have to take the cover out inorder to plug the music source. One more step, you will need to log into the RP Admin and enable  that feature  under Base unit-Configure Park music.

I have removed the audio input cover and attached an MP3 player to the base station, however it is not working.  I have gone into the Base Station section and selected stereo input within the Administrator, but does not work.  Have restarted the base station as well with no change.

I am running SP1.

Let me know if anyone has this working successfully.

Thanks...

It is working successfully for us.  We have a DVD player (audio only of course) connected to the 1/8" mini audio input on the back.

Keep in mind, it is only park music, not hold music that gets the music.  Hold music is sent from the phone, park is sent from the base unit.
