Title: Device Webpage Wrong in Vista Network
Post by: Lucid on September 10, 2008, 10:08:59 AM
Until recently, I never had this problem. If I wanted to see the devices webpage all I had to do was right click an select device webpage. When I select properties it shoes the device webpage as 192.168.0.32 and and IP address of 192.168.2.198.

I know I can go to the webpage other ways, but I preffer this way. Does anyone have any ideas as to why the webpage has changed?

(I just recently installed Fonz telnet server...since I lost ownership when I upgraded to Vista I had to change the it via telnet).

TIA

Lucid.

Have you since restarted the unit and PC? Are you still seeing this? I am sorry but I don't see this problem on my PC.

FYI - Did reboot on DNS-323 again and the problem went away this time. I wonder what that was?

I would recommend setting the device to use a static IP address. I changed due to you DHCP server giving the device a different IP address upon bootup. This can be done easy on the Easy Search Utility under Receive DHCP select disable and enter the IP address you wish to access the device at.

Yes, however the IP was always static. The problem did go away though as I last wrote.

Thanks for the help.
