Im trying to turn off my QOS, I use to get gigabit speeds of 70-80mb per second between computers and now its down to 20-22. Wireless N speeds are also about half of what they use to be. So first thing is turn off qos and see if that helps.
But it will not let me save any changed on the QOS page, when I click save, it pops up the message "please enter another protocol value" . None of the protocol boxes are set, none of the fields have any entries in them and they are all grayed out and can not me changed with the QOS engine box unchecked anyway.
Even if I dont make any changes to the page and try to save, it says nothing has changed save anyway ? If I say ok it still pops up the message "please enter another protocol value" and wont save the page.

Try a factory reset, you will lose any saved settings but it may be the only way to fix your situation.

I'm getting the same "please enter another protocol value" pop-up when trying to save the QOS settings. Did resetting the router solve the problem?

I have the same problem...
IT is BUG on the PAGE !!!
Itīs a shame as the first message above was on January !!!

Are you setting a static IP address for the device your entering in on the QoS page?
Check to be sure your are entering correct values for the page.
-
just change "other" from protocol fields to be filled with a value

I figured out how to circumvent the bug.
Go into every "Protocol" field and enter a value, any value, like 1, into all the Protocol fields for every QoS rule.
Do not enter any IPs or a name in them, except for the one you actually want to use.
After that, you can save the page and function as normal.
This worked on my DIR-657, Hardware Version: A1, Firmware Version: 1.01
There is still a bug where it lets you enter port numbers for an "Any" protocol.

What FW and HW version is your 655 router?
Have you done a factory reset of the router?
