Title: how to change frequencies on my dir 825?
Post by: wgu01 on January 25, 2011, 11:15:34 PM
Right now when my hom ephone rings I get disconnected from my ps3 game (black ops) which really sucks.

So I called the telephone provider and he said i can change the frequency on my router so that i won't have to have the same frequency has my phone.

I am unsure of how you change the frequency on my DIR-825. Any help would be appriciated!

Thanks in advance.

I assume you mean channel instead of frequency.

First see which wireless channel is being used by checking DeviceInfo under Status.  Then go to Manual Wireless Network Settings under Setup and turn off Enable Auto Channel Scan.

Then set the Wireless channel to a different channel.  Try 1, 6 or 11 unless it was previously set.

You can also download inSSIDer from http://www.metageek.net/ and see which wireless channels are being used near you.  Then pick the channel that has the fewest strong signals.
