Title: Cant't see any network share
Post by: matmat07 on January 29, 2011, 01:44:18 PM
I got firmware 1.33NA, resetted to default settings. After a reset from the button at the back of the device, I couldn't get network share to work again. I have a win7 and an xp laptop connected to the router wirelessly.

Thank you for your help and if you need any information just ask :)

Forgot to add: I can ping the other netbook successfully

How is your network shared out?
Are all the devices on the same workgroup?
How are your PCs shared out?
Is Win7 set up in Networking for sharing and has the ability to look for other shares?
How are you trying to connect to shares?

What are the way to share? I would have think that just being on the same network and going in the network part of explorer would be enough. But all I see there is my computer and the printer.

Yes, we are on the same workgroup

I shared my folder from the sharing tab of the proprieties of a folder

win7 is set to look for share

I'm trying to connect with explorer

BTW, my computer works fine at school or at a friend house for discovering other computer

We connected another computer by wire, ran a setup, and now that xp computer and other one can see each other, as well as a media device. There's only the win7 laptop that is out of the share.

Need to look into the Win7 networking and sharing and make sure it's configured correctly. Your XP devices see each other properly which tells me the router is working properly as well.
