Title: Blocking Limewire/Torrent aplications and bandwidth question
Post by: johnmark on January 30, 2011, 12:19:39 PM
Hello, is there a way to block limewire and torrent programs and sites?
My sister downloads an absurd amount of music, music videos and a whole bunch of other crap which is shooting past our bandwidth limit.

Also, is there a way that can limit how much a person can download? Let's say 1GB per day.

Sorry this won't help you, but I have the opposite problem:  I can't even get bit-torrent to run with this router.  (I can't get port 8080 to work despite port forwarding or virtual server setup and an absurd amount of other fiddling.)  There's nothing in particular that I want to use bit-torrent to do, but it pains me to know that it (and Buffalo Web Access) seem impossible with this particular router.  Did your bit-torrent work just fine right out of the box?
