[INFO] Sun Oct 05 12:56:07 2008 UPnP added entry 255.255.255.255 <-> 75.176.140.119:3658 <-> 192.168.0.50:3658 UDP timeout:-1 '192.168.0.50:3658 to 3658 (UDP)'. Ever time i go on My PS3 i get this in my Router Log.The biggest problem is the outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.0.50 to 198.107.157.129.It starts to lag the game up to voice chat to game audio and rank not saving is there any way i can fix this our is it just the router. Now i know that if u have type3 on the ps3 our game audio or voice chat, rank, will have problems but i have type2.

same issues for me. default settings. 1.13 firmware and an assigned ip for ps3. i dont ever recall having that problem with my dgl 4300 so i may try that out
edit : hooked up the 4300 and it works like a champ. no more lag in socom.

I wonder if this is related to the problems I'm seeing with my own PS3 +DGL4500 - voice chat would lag and then eventually disconnect me if I'm playing online (in my case it's Metal Gear Online). I've also seen something similar when trying to initiate a video chat session with a friend of mine (router would explode and restart pretty much).
I've switched to a wired connection (hooked up to a DAP-1522 which is bridged over to the DGL4500) and it's working fine now, but honestly I'd like to get rid of the DAP-1522 and go straight wireless to the DGL4500.
PS3 firmware 2.43
DGL4500 firmware 1.13 (LCD has died, but the router is still more or less working).

You guys should submit your logs. See this topic: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=2468.0
The more info D-Link gets the faster they can fix the problem.

The dap-1522 is a way better Wi-Fi option than using the ps3 g only ability...WAY BETTER

Guys ICMP type 3 is a destination host unreachable message. This is normal operation. It should not cause lag on the router.

ok thanks just didn't know what it was.

Lycan, this is a sign that the router admitted an incoming packet to a port that is no longer waiting for a response. So it is quite probable that it is associated (immediately follows) the lag event. It indicates whatever preceded it wasn't answered until it was too late and stopped listening for the response (closed the port).
This doesn't appear to be DNS, since 198.107.157.129 is not a DNS, but the rDNS of 198.107.157.129 is service.playstation.net.
