I am experiencing something weird here. I can plug a standard Caller ID unit in and get the name and number. However, when I plug the phone lines into the DVG3410MS, I am getting unknown and unknown. No name or number.
Any ideas?

Could this be related to the ring count in which the system answers on? Right now, the system answers on the second ring.
Is there a way to change the ring count in Response Point? I do not see it in the DVG3104MS or the RP Administrator application.

Ok...just plugged in a analog Caller ID phone and it works reliably.
When I plug the DVG-3104MS into the same phone line, the Caller ID will work a couple of times and then start reporting unknown on a regular basis.
It is obvious there is an issue with the Response Point Software or the DVG-3104MS.
Which is it?

I have a similiar issue with a small twist.
I have a couple of Bell POTS lines, and a few VOIP lines that come into the DVX-2000MS system. The Bell POTS lines go directly to the the DVG-3104MS. The VOIP lines go through a VOIP to POTS convertor from the service provider.
When I plug in an analog phone into the VOIP to POTS convertor, I always get the caller id displayed on the analog phone. When this same line is plugged into the DVG-3104MS, the caller ID does NOT work in the DVX-2000MS system.
The weird part that the Bell POTS lines that go into the DVG-3104MS have the caller ID working perfectly on the DVX-2000MS system. Why would they not be the same?
I've looked a the settings behind the scenes, in the DVG-3104MS :9999 but with no success. Can anyone help?

This could be due to the way the VoIP device translates and forwards the CID information to the DVG-3104MS. The only and best way to identify the issue is by running a packet capture using Wireshark and analyze the same to identify the issue. Please call technical support at 1-888-404-6262 Option 1 for that assistance.

We are also experiencing a similar caller ID issue. We have three analog lines connected to the dlink gw, all from the same PSTN provider. The first line does not retrieve caller-ID information correctly, however the other two lines come through without an issue. All three lines show caller-ID on an analog phone directly connected.

I have the same issues, 2 pots line, no callerid.
Canada/standard pots (BELL-ish)
I've tried the 4 different Callerid display types (Bellcore/etsi...) seems to make no difference.
Any update on this issue?
Recently upgraded to SP2...(wasn't working before either)

I have come across these issues you are experiencing. The issues were resolved by the service providers. This is what may be happening in your case(s): some POT line(s) have call ID enabled on them where as others do not. So if a call comes in through the Call ID enabled line, CID will be delivered. If it comes through the non-CID enabled line, it will show as unknown. I will suggest that you verify with your Service Providers that EACH POT LINE has CID enabled. Please verify this information with backend engineers and not technical staff team; some do not have access to the back end system to verify that information.
