After upgrading the firmware of the DNS-323 to version 1.05 and it created a BT folder on the drive but when deleting a file on folder BT I received an error message "550 Cannot Delete File Directory Access Denied"
-
weirdest thing... I had the same problem this morning... was able to copy the file to another folder... went to another computer in the house and was able to delete it. Weird...
-
Yes there are some issues with this and it will be resolved in the next firmware update. I do not have a official release date at this time.

Im right along with you on this. Now I have a 700MB movie I can't delete in the completed folder. I could use ssh but I haven't gotten around to that part yet. I was able to copy it to a different folder but not delete by any means.
This just brings up a suggestion to improve the security settings of the device. A more expanded control over folder permissions should be released in the next update. Also, if there could be an option to change the web ui port too, that would be awesome. My dsl router takes over port 80 and I don't really feel like tinkering around with port forwarding since it hasn't forwarded requests to the nas yet.

I suggest you use the web file system login.

Logon as an admin and you can delete directories.
Good luck.

Wow, how did you find that WebFileServer? User's manual says nothing about that... Is there other "secret" features in DNS-323?

thank you very much sjncv! I wonder what else is out there. Is there already a secret tricks section in this forum that I don't know about?

I've also found that just starting another download allows the directory/file to be deleted.

If you are having issue with this please try the latest firmware 1.06 this should no longer be an issue.

This "web file system" disappeared after updating to firmware 1.06, is it still somewhere?

It wasn't supposed to be accessible in the first place, of course we didn't leave it in there this build. 1.06 fixes permission issues with deleting files. Please make sure you, A) Update to 1.06, B) Download 4.4.0.0 Eash Search and re-install the new BitTorrent Client.

I am using firmware 1.05 and I was able to log into the web file server and navigate the directories. But I can't delete a subdirectory in the BT/complete folder. I get an error message the the delete failed because directory is not empty. Well, I can find no way to delete the files within the directory or the directory itself. I do not want to upgrade to 1.06 at this time, too much hassle, and I have no way to backup first.
Any help appreciated! Thanks

I still cannot delete BT files or folders after upgrading to v1.06 and Easy Search Utility 4.4.0.0.
Problem not fixed.
I can delete if I start a torrent.
Did I miss something?
