Hello,
I am on Cablevision North New Jersey. Cablevision recently forced the triple play package on me even though there offering is inferior to Broadvoice's offering. I never use cablevision's voip product, but in order to keep the bill down, I need it activated and on my account.
When I connect directly from my desktop to Motorola SB5120 I get speeds of 6000 to 8000 kb/s. When I put the dlink router in I get good speeds, but over time, about a half hour, it comes to a creeping halt. The speeds deminishes to roughly, 350 kb/s.
I've just swapped out my DIR655 for the DIR825. Same result.
Here is what is hanging on the network:
Mot SB5120 with internal Voip active ->Dlink DIR825-> Broadvoice Linksys spa2102
/ \
Infrant ReadyNAS NV< >gigabit network adapter in desktop (GbE LAN- Onboard 10/100/1000M PCIE controller)
The router is 1st after the sba5120, and the broadvoice dangles off the router.
There are 3 laptops connecting via wpa2 and draft N, and a Wii which rarely gets turned on.
What's happening and what can I do to solve my speed issues.

Does the issue with the speed happen on all computers or just 1?
Also update your firmware. Most likely that won't make a difference but it's good to get it up to date.

It happens across all machines.

When I disconnect the linksys spa2102 the speeds through the router are as fast as they were when directly connected to the sb5102. I put the spa2102 in the dmz and opened the SIP in the firewall. What else do I need to do?
The Voip I'm using is Broadvoice, and they allow for bring your own device. Are there better devices out there? I realize I'm on the d-link forum, but unbiased opinions would be appreciated.

Issue Solved:
Moved the linksys into the DMZ
open sip in the DIR-825 firewall
Speedtest.net results after these moves:
19444kb/s down
4580kb/s up
