Title: Shareport not wireless capable with XP but ok with Vista?
Post by: lahead on October 14, 2008, 02:51:46 PM
Can anyone shed some light onto this issue? I have a machine which can dual boot both OS but I can't seem to get shareport to work wirelessly on my xp side. In vista, it appears to work like a charm and i can access my hard drives all the way from the basement just fine but with xp, I am stuck next to an ethernet cable. Also, another problem with XP and shareport is that I can't download any large files onto my networked drives without the router randomly disconnecting halfway through. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

umm, i have yet to connect a HDD to my shareport, but I have connected my Lexmark printer and run XP Pro 32bit on my laptop, using Shareport via my wireless G connection (i run wpa-2 security-so no N broadcasts)

Seems like XP networking is not working well.
