Title: SPIDF not working
Post by: gyrene2083 on October 19, 2008, 09:24:10 PM
I have my unit setup using hdmi connect to my tv, and I have spid/f going to my yamaha receiver, but I can't seem to get any sound from my yamaha. Can anyone lend this old Marine a hand? Also, I encoded some files using XVID, and they play fine on my PC but when I play them on the unit, I only get video and no audio.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does your yamaha receiver seems to be getting an audio signal, some will have a display? Is the volume up on your receiver and is it properly connected to all device? First try playback of audio files only. The DSM-750 is basically a pass though device when handling digital audio so the data is just passing though and pushing it to your receiver to handle so the configuration is mainly on your receiver and TV and what your receiver supports.
