Just purchased a DNS-323 and trying to get all my files transferred over to it. I have a directory with about 500GB of stuff in it, mostly large 700MB+ files all on a Vista 64bit install. The transfer keeps on breaking, with the result of me needing to do a hard reset of the DNS-323 to get it back on the network.
I did a similar transfer from my 64bit Ubuntu install earlier in the week and it went smoothly.
I'm on firmware version 1.04, but I don't see anything in 1.05 that would account for this. Plus upgrading would require me to pull all the data I've already put on there off and reformat (which I really don't want to do)
Any ideas?

If you are already on 1.04, 1.04 to 1.05 does not require a reformat. Try upgrading first and check if it remedies your issue. Also are these large files or mainly small files like MP3's?

Cool, I'll try that tonight, they are large files, 700MB+
