Hey Asalaan,

Start doing the basics! Update the firmware on the router / Update the adaptor drivers (wired/wireless).
Has the problem just occurred? Perform a system restore back a few days ago. If problem persists; You may need reset the router (Hold the reset button for 10 seconds). Post again if all of this has no affect. I'll find an answer for you. Please include as much information as you can :).

Best of Luck,

Russell

Russell, I have tried all these methods before, the problem is going for quite a while.
I have got two pcs conntected, and i am using vista.
The connection gets dc and reconnects along with my router restarting for no reason!
Thx

I saw your reply in the other threat.

I am not using any of those utilities. Right now i have Wireless N Router which connects through the Wirless N USB Adapter which goes into my pc. Because my pc doesnot have a wireless option i use the USB Adapter to connect.

But Restarting of Router seems a bit strange..

I have seen this happen on my system.  Turned out my Internet security software (yeah, Norton 360) was requiring that my wireless SSID be set as trusted.  It was automatically set as "protected" which was forcing a "deauthentication" of the wireless adapter's connection.

I'm getting similar disconnect issues. It spends sometimes up to 10 minutes negotating an IP. I have sent a log to dLink. They told me at first that they haven't seen this type of problem before, but from the threads I see here this is not the case. :-[
