Title: dvr-ms: Subtitles in Medialounge (XP) and in Extender (Vista) modes
Post by: hdjunkie2008 on October 30, 2008, 12:06:35 PM
Please someone confirm if DSM-750 can display subtitles of dvr-ms files in Medialounge mode? I see in the specification that srt subtitles are supported.
Does that mean that subtitles are not supported natively even for dvr-ms and I need to place srt file of identical name in the same folder with dvr-ms file?
What about Extender mode? Will DSM-750 display subtitles without srt file?

AVI files with .SRT subtitles is the only supported subtitle format on the DSM-750.

Thank you, but my interest is in embedded, not external subtitles. PLease clarify:

1. Can DSM-750 display subtitles embedded in dvr-ms files in extender mode?
2. Can DSM-750 display subtitles embedded in dvr-ms files in MediaLounge mode?

Are you referring to closed captions in DVR-ms? I believe these are supported in MCE.
