Now that my iTouch is connecting up properly (thanks to an Apple firmware update to 2.2), I've had a little time to play around with more subtle parts of the 655, and I have a few questions...
1) Is the send log on schedule not working? If I email the log manually, it gets sent properly. If I set the log to be sent when it's full, it gets sent properly. If I reboot the router, the log gets sent properly. If I set a scheduled time for the log to be sent, it doesn't get sent. I can't see how I might be messing up the schedule itself, and I've tried setting an hour duration as well as an all day schedule. None of them will trigger the sending of the log. There are no relevant messages, error or otherwise, in the log. Any thoughts?
And while I'm talking about sending the log, are the "when full" and "on schedule" checkboxes supposed to be considered mutually exclusive? The help doc is ambiguous in its language, as is the label for the setting, using the word OR not AND; yet they're checkboxes (not radio buttons) and they both can be selected.
2) What does "Extra Wireless Protection" actually mean. I find the help file confusing: "Extra protection for neighboring 11b wireless networks. Turn this option off to reduce the adverse effect of legacy wireless networks on 802.11ng performance." Does this mean if I uncheck "Extra Wireless Protection", my WiFi and it's connections will work better at the possible expense of other nearby WiFi routers using the older 802.11b? If I wanna be a nice guy at my networks "expense" I should turn it on?
3) Oh, and The 655's https certificate seems to have expired on 4 Sept 08...
Thanks!

Anybody?
Am I the only one using schedules to send the log who is having this problem? And can someone from D-Link explain the "Extra Wireless Protection" function to me.
Thanks!
