Hi,
I'm trying to get WISH (http://192.168.1.1/Advanced/WISH.shtml) working.
I have HTTP, Windows Media Center, and Automatic Priority Classifiers disabled.
XboX 360 and H.323 are set at Voice. HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP are set at Video.
BitTorrent, POP3, and SMTP are set at background.
Yet none of them seem to have any effect. Judging so by watching the WISH Log (http://192.168.1.1/Status/WISH_Sessions.shtml).
For example all web sessions are still background.
What the heck, if anything I would have expected Best Effort; is that not suppose to be the default?
Router: DIR-655
Hardware Version: A2
Firmware Version: 1.11
And yes I tried rebooting my router a few times after unplugging it for 15 minutes (a lot longer than the 15 seconds "required").
Screen-Shot of my current WISH settings:

Thanks for the help,
Will

I would suggest to mark all WISH predefined options and use QoS for prioritizing different data streams/ports. QoS is the method to do this, WiSH is noce, but I rely on QoS

Mine seem to be working -- yours look like they should work, too, according to the rules -- as long as the connections involve a wireless client.
Differences I've noted between us:
1. I have all three of those checkboxes enabled. Where this might be mattering is that turning off HTTP WISH prioritization might be also killing your port 80 rule, although it's not clear that it would or should.
2. I always assume Host 1 is in the LAN, although there is no indication in the rules that it should matter.
3. I'm on fw 1.21 2008/11/09.

EddieZ, I'm using QoS too. That is working fine and as expected.
Funchords, yeah I tried with all three options enabled and same, still not working.
I tried making host 1 LAN like you and still not working.
I choose to stay with 1.11 because of all the bad experiences people here have had on the forums.
WMM Enable under advanced wireless seems to have no effect on WISH either.
Saved my config file and reload system defaults. Enabled WISH and then enabled one simple rule for web to make it video priority and restarted router. Still, no effect, WISH still not working.
So even out of box WISH is not working. Damn, wish I noticed this months ago when I bought the thing..
I'm out of ideas at this point. :(
Anyhow, thanks both of you!

Have you tried loading the 1.11 firmware then after every comes back online push the reset button on the back of the router?
Then load your config.
For some reason this fixed some issues I had.

Yes tried that. And just tried with both firmware 1.21 and 1.10 and still not working at all. :(
-
Bump, no ideas? :(

Perhaps the speed expectations for WiSH are a bit too high...

Bump, no ideas? :(
This works for me. I'm sorry, I don't know why.
192.168.177.105 is my PVR
192.168.177.216 is my Wireless Laptop
And video quality is improved with the rule.

After messing around with it for a few days. I got it working.
Reset default a few times, let it set without power..
Went back to default firmware and tried and success. So then updated to 1.11 and still working. :)
Also, have to use private addresses for host 1 it seems or wont work.. So that was the main problem.
Thanks for that scree-shot funchords, helped a lot..
