Title: Feature request: IPv6 support
Post by: EddieZ on November 29, 2008, 11:29:48 AM
Is it technically possible to add this feature to the router?

Looking at the current developements -IPv4 addresses drying up, Vista IPv6 availablity, DIR615 supporting IPv6(?)- this would be a reasonable addition, wouldn't you say? Sure, D-link would prefer me getting a newer model in one or two years  ;) but I estimate I'll be sticking to this one for about 3 to 5 years...

I agree, I need this sooner rather than later.

I would guess that because certain ISP's are demanding IPv6 support by next year, that most of our current line will be updated. I don't have specifics on which ones, but thats just my guess.

Thanks. Please pass the message on PM that they don't just launch a new hardware revision of the router, but when possible (from a technical point of view) also update firmware in the current models.
