Title: Low signal strength from my DAP 1522 as a bridge
Post by: spongy on December 04, 2008, 12:16:39 AM
I am using the DAP 1522 as a bridge now but the reception to my DIR 825 is about 20% or less.  The signal strength is almost the same as my DCS 5220.  It is acting as a bridge for my PS3 and popcornhour as my PS3 can hardly get any signal from my previous DIR 655 and now my DIR 825.

I am now considering if I should use it as a AP instead for my PS3 and DCS 5220.   ???   Will it work better if I were to use it as an AP to extend the coverage so that my PS3 and DCS 5220 will get better signal strength to my router ?  Is there any other way to improve the signal strength as a bridge ?

Gave up using DAP 1522 as a bridge.  Using it as an AP now and it works better as my PS3 connection and download is faster than connecting it as a bridge.

I was wondering why it has no external antenna... now I can see why you are having signal problem.
