Having read some posts about de-authentication problems
I have seen the following remark more than once:
the DIR655 and DWA140 are not a good match,
DIR655 and DWA160 is better because they are designed to work together.
I thought DIR655/DIR635 and DWA140/DWA142 were designed to work together.
The DWA160 was designed to work best with the DIR855
Am I wrong here?
The following post is an example
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=3213.msg17508#msg17508
this can, since nobody has reacted on it, lead to people canning a good product and unnecessarily buy another, more expensive, one.
Please react ! :o

Hi Peter,
It is my post you are referencing. Did you click on the links?
And what I am saying, if you are buying the D-Link DIR-655 Router or another D-Link Router, see what adapters are designed to work with that Router. Don't buy the adapter first, but buy the Router first, then buy its matching Adapters for your computers.
Many Users are buying the Adapters first then buying a Router. That's wrong. And you don't need to buy the Adapter and Router together. Buy them seperately for the best price, unless you get a very good price. But shop around.

I did click on the links,
but look: the DWA160 is a dual band device and it's not designed as the ideal match for the non dual band DIR655. Click your link to DWA160 look in the tab product specs and you'll see this.
Ideal matches are DWA140/142 and DIR625/635/655 being one band wireless N capable.
Ideal dual band matches would be DWA160 and DIR825/855
It's very likely that the product discription and specs are unclear/misleading here.
Regards Peter
