I have two seagate 1.5TB drives upgraded to latest f/w DNS321 is also upgraded to 1.01 .the release notes says it supports 1.5TB, but its showing only 500 MB for each drive. anybody else having this problem or there is a firmware problem?

I posted a day before you.
I installed two seagate barracuda 1.5T drives (firmware upgraded to sd1A) in my dns-321 with firmware 1.0. The dlink showed 0 bytes. Upgraded the dns-321 firmware to 1.01 and all is good.
So yes, it works! I was in the same boat as you yesterday. 1.01 supports the 1.5T drives.

not sure why my dns-321 would not budge calling these drives anything other than 500GB. my hdd model is ST31500341AS and yes the firmware is upgraded to 1A (from 18).
I tried forcing 1500 in the format raid1 box by javascript overide via Opera (as some other guy suggested) but after the device come back on, the capacity is 500GB!
so, questions for you.
-Are you using raid-1?
-what is your hdd model #?
-what is your dns321 h/w version?
-
I am using raid 1.
My hdd model # is ST31500341AS (Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB Hard Drive - 7200RPM, 32MB Cache, SATA-3G).
HW version? Where do I get this info?

Try using Mozilla Firefox for you browser and reformat the drives in RAID1

I have the same type of HDD but on my 321 is not even detecting the drives. I was trying to format in normal mode with 2x ST31500341AS. It stayed around 94% for a good 40 minutes and then it finished and restarted and no drives. I upgraded to FW 1.01 seeing in the release notes it supports 1.5TB drives but still no luck. I am not sure which version FW I have on the actual drives but I will give that a shot as well. Fingers crossed.

I don't see how you can even format the drives. My DNS-321 wouldn't let me and told me my drives had 0 capacity. But then I was configured for Raid 1 - not sure if that matters. It was only until I upgraded the FW to 1.01 that everything just worked (sans permissions issues).
I filled up 1/3 of the 1.5T drive and so far so good - knock on wood.
Good luck!

OK so call me a noob! ;D I just downloaded the latest version of the Easy Search Utility and its detecting the drives fine now. I didn't have to touch the firmware on my drives. I guess the CD that came with the box is outdated. Thanks for the help.

All i needed was the FW update. I didn't need the easy search util for my 1.5T drives to work. In anycase, I updated it anyways :).
