I just found out this week from SecureSpot support that the SecureSpot product which I purchased in November will only allow real-time anti-virus/anti-malware to run under an "administrator" account in Windows XP. This is a major product flaw bordering on false advertising as children's accounts, for which one might purchase the SecureSpot suite of advertised services, are often set up with only "user" credentials to protect the system from harmful changes. So with the current capabilities of SecureSpot, I have to sacrifice system security by setting up my kid's accounts as "administrator" or sacrifice real-time virus protection--an unacceptable compromise for a supposed security solution.
I D-Link's defense, support did admit to the product's shortcoming and told me it was going to be fixed in an upcoming release; however, no information as to when this problem is going to be fixed. In the meantime, I'm left having to open up all of my "user" accounts as "administrators".
Cheers,
David

That's because "nobody" runs as a normal user or a power user on Windows XP. Worse, support for WinXP is ending very soon due to Vista and upcoming Windows 7.
I doubt they will fix this because of that fact!! Sorry, good luck!
I agree with you though.. But Microsoft really did not design WinXP to be a multi-user operating system. That's what Vista is for, sadly. Even then, not really.
Windows (Mac. and most Linux distros too) is a Single-user, multi-tasking OS. If you want a true multi-user OS then pretty much Unix is your only choice.
