The FROM needs to be a false email address. Something like (info@yourrouter.com)

It doesn't need to be false, but I noticed that it needs to be different than the TO address...

I have Time Warner Roadrunner, and use the main (automatically created)account email address as the FROM and my primary email address as the TO address.

I too had this issue, but just banged on it over and over till I found something that worked. Heh.

Gmail's port 587 requires encryption.  You'll need to use your ISP's smtp server.  Further, your ISP might restrict you to using a "From email address" that's valid on their system.
