Title: 1.06 and fun plug issues? or user error
Post by: ferdball on January 05, 2009, 09:05:57 AM
Hey all, I've just bought a new 323, updated to 1.06 FW and then followed the simple directions to load fun plug, (put the files "fun_plug" and "fun_plug.tgz" on Volume_1 and restart, however nothing get installed and not exploded tarball, just those two files, I've tried downloading using right click and "save as" and placed them right on the volume_1 root, didnt work, tried using the download utility in admin, didnt work...??? Im using mac (10.5.6) if that makes any difference? I'm stumped...

second wierdness....

how do i install a bittorrent when I dont have windows? on the disk is easy search but it's an exe????

I'd rather just use transmissionhttp://forum.dsmg600.info/t1805-Transmission-Clutch-CH3SNAS-DNS-323.html (http://forum.dsmg600.info/t1805-Transmission-Clutch-CH3SNAS-DNS-323.html)

  •   Regarding the numerous threads revolving around “hack your……,” or “turn your….into a,” type of posts, let it be known that you will, in fact, void your D-Link Warranty by applying code not issued by D-Link through our support staff or support site.

Just saying.....

We don't support fun_plug.

think I figured it out, almost pinpointed, but this works.

remove 2nd drive

if downloading use safari and it will add the .sh to the file name on download, remove the .sh.

reboot seems to work doing that. it may also work with one drive out using the download tool in admin..

whatever......
