Title: Can't re-enable wireless, DIR-655, FW 1.21
Post by: mattwi on January 06, 2009, 03:46:15 PM
In the Wireless setup page, under manual wireless setup I disabled the wireless radio by un-checking the Enable Wireless box. I saved the page and exited. Now my router was wired only. All was good. Later on I added a wireless device so I went back to the manual wireless setup page and re-checked the Enable Wireless box. I clicked save and the router power cycled.

I tried several more times with the same results. I pulled the power plug and re-tried. Same results. I could not turn on the wireless radio.

I had to restore the factory defaults to turn the wireless on (its on by default).

Can anyone confirm this on their router? Has anyone seens this and know what I'm doing wrong or a fix for this?

Matt

I don't knowi f you are running into the same problem I had, but after I made a change of the router's subnet, I couldn't save any other configuration changes.  You can refer to the discussion here, and what i found as a work-around:

I hope this helps.

What browsers are you using? Have you tried to clear the cache?
