I just installed my new DIR-615 and everything works fine with the wireless network. My other computer receiving the wireless signal shows a very strong signal but won't load any web pages. Any adjustments that I can make to get the web pages to load? I am brand new to the wireless world. Thank you. :)

So one computer works wirelessly and a second computer does not? is that the case?

The computer that won't load any web pages is the wireless computer. Also, there are no firewalls active on that computer. My main computer is hard-wired, not wireless.

Can you ping things like google.com or 4.2.2.2?

I tried google.com and 4.2.2.2 but same results. The computer says that it is opening the web page, but as soon as it starts loading it goes to msn default search and freezes up on that page.

Ping is a basic network testing tool. (tip: when you hear a geeky term that you don't recognize, search for a definition using Google or MSN search.) It is available on nearly all operating systems, including all versions of Windows. To find out how to use it, click Start, then Windows Help and Support, and search for Ping. Ping is a command-line tool -- you'll use the text-based command prompt. If you can't figure out how to do this by searching "Help and Support," then search Google or MSN.
While I encourage you to search and learn, not being able to connect the laptop is probably distressing. The shortest way to solving your problem might involve calling in for support or asking a friend to help you. Getting step-by-step instructions on a forum like this will take a very long time. But if you have the time to spend, searching and finding how to do these things is the way to learn it.

I'm having the same problem with my DIR-615 RevB. "ping www.google.com" gave error "could not find host" (same with "http://www.google.com"). "ping 4.2.2.2." gave 4 "Destination host is unreachable" messages -- 4 packets sent, 4 packets lost.
I've tried turning off the power to my modem and router, disconnecting the EtherNet connections, and rebooting my PC.
Everything worked fine for quite some time -- about 2 weeks ago, it just stopped, and I have no idea why! Any help would be appreciated.

On the wireless computer, delete the saved profile for "knuckleheads" and then reboot the computer. After the reboot, associate with the "new" wireless AP.
If this helps, it's because something in the previous profile was invalid/corrupt.
