Hi All,
Dual-booting Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3
and now
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Beta Version.
XP Speed is 300 mbps
Windows 7 Speed is 54 Mbps.
Windows 7 automatically installed the drivers for the card.
Driver files installed: athr.sys File Version 1.0.0.7 built by: WinDDK
ywifibus.sys File Version: 6.1.7000.0 (winmain_win7beta 081212-1400)
Windows 7 Speed Problem?

Hell, state of vista driver is terrible so what makes you think there is even a working Win7 driver in the first place... Not a question. ;)

Hi war59312,
Merely testing and reporting my findings. ;D
If Microsoft wants Users to upgrade to Windows 7, then they need to replace the programmers or designers of Windows 7 Networking and they need to use Windows XP's speed.

looks like the driver is not connecting as a N... but as a G... should bug this to Microsoft, after all Win7 is beta :)

Windows 7 is WAY beta, who knows where their wireless support is at. Channel bonding my not be implemented yet.

How is your router configured? I was able to achieve 300Mbps. What build of win7 are you using?

Hi Ru Fi-Oh,
The Router is configured for 300 mbps speed as reported by Network Magic from Windows XP Home Edition, in a Dual-Boot situation with different partitions.
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Beta Build 7000. This is the first Public Beta Build. Windows reports 54 mbps speed.

have you tried to use the drivers provided from the d-link support site? I was able to achieve 300mbps. Although I'm running win7 build 7032 ::)

Hi Ru Fi-Oh,
Which drivers are you referring to? Win XP 32-bit or Vista 32-bit Drivers for the Card? Win 7 32-bit drivers have not been released for the Card.

you can use vista 32bit driver for win7 OS
