Title: should I upgrade firmware??
Post by: Y.Lee on February 06, 2011, 09:25:01 AM
Hi

I have a Dir655 A2, currently running on firmware 1.33NA.

Should I upgrade to 1.55NA to achieve rates close to 300Mbps?

Is 1.35NA better than 1.33NA?

Are there any risks involved in upgrading and tp the performance of the A2 router?

Thank you!

If your not experiencing any problems it's recommended that you keep what is loaded on the router.

thanks for your comments!

How can I increase the signal power? other then setting the transmission power to 100%? Can i tweet the other settings?

Beacon Period :(20..1000)
RTS Threshold :(0..2347)
Fragmentation Threshold :(256..2346)
DTIM Interval :(1..255)
WLAN Partition :
WMM Enable :
Short GI :

Not tweakable. Increasing signal power is not always the solution. In certain environments lowering the signal power gives a better connection quality .
