I'm trying to backup a local folder. Entered username and password and local folder as:
\\duo\c\users\cliff\documents\ , which is a vista pc. Firmware is 1.06
Running a test says it is successful, but file size is unavailable.
Running the job manually or scheduled does nothing, I never lose the ? from the status icon.

Any suggestions?

Is the share you are using an admin share (ie C$) or have you actually shared out your entire C drive?
By default Vista will block remote admin access to admin shares...which would cause the local downloads to fail if you are indeed using an Admin share...this is the fix I found:
http://www.jimmah.com/vista/Networking/filtertoken.aspx
This fix will make it possible to access admin shares (C$, D$, etc) remotely so it is a security risk...but as long as you're confident in your network (I am confident in mine) then I wouldn't worry about it (I don't).
edit: Oh...skipped over the part about the test running successfully...hmm...well...my questions still stand. If it's successful it should work though I would think.

Thanks for the reply.
The tip is really worthwhile, but it didn't fix my situation.
Do you have local downloads working?

Yes I do. I have it download the iTunes library files and preferences from my Gaming computer (Vista Ultimate with the above fix applied), and download email files from my File Server (XP Pro SP3, backups up the 323 now, so not so much of a file server now). And when I do a test on each of these it says the file size is unavailable (fyi).
