Title: Solved - How can I change from RAID-1 to Standard?
Post by: lookingforinfo on February 17, 2011, 07:47:45 PM
For a number of reasons I just purchased a second DNS-323 on E-Bay.  It was listed as "New" but it had been previously run through the Easy Setup Utility.  I used the hardware reset button to reset values, but I was not given the option to reformat the disks.  The disks are currently configured as RAID-1 and I would like to change that to Standard.  Is this possible?

The current Firmware is 1.07.

I ended up restarting the system with only Drive 1 installed.  I was then able to reformat the drive.  When Drive 2 was inserted and the system restarted, Drive 2 automatically appeared as a Standard disk.  I had hoped for a easier process, but this way there will be no accidental reformatting of the drives.
