Title: Which USB port is better DIR-655 or DNS-323 ????
Post by: serco on February 18, 2011, 07:35:54 PM
I want to connect my HP Color Laserjet 1215 printer using the SharePort 3.0 technology.  Which device will give me better performance; my router DIR-655 or my Network Storage Enclosure DNS-323???

Also, in the Additionnal Download section of the web site, I can find in the DIR655 and in the DNS323 directory a version 3.0 of the SharePort Utility software.  Are they identical???

Thanks

Serco

The best way it's by DNS-323, because with it, it's possible to print documents from different PC "in same time" (DNS-323 manage a print queue).

If you use shareport from routeur you have need the owner of printer access before printing and just one at time.

Bizarre when I plug my HP LaserJet printer to my DIR-655 I can use it for one print, after that the other print sessions stay in the print queue of my computer even if SharePort say:  Device connected.

On my DNS-323, it cannot see the printer at all!
