I think we need a subforum for unofficial firmware releases. I think it is misleading (esp. for newbies) to post such links.
Thank you for putting the remark "use at your own risk" but every firmware which does not reside on an official D-Link should not be posted in this forum.
But that's just my 5ct.
-
well it works smooth here ;D
-
i use this firmware for several weeks now and it gives no problem at all, the beta 04 version caused the interface to load very slowly
also my voip phone doesn't give any errors at all and my 5 ghz radio offers allmost a constantly 300MB connection to the router.
:D
-
The UI on 2.01 was shockingly slow, this one works much faster, It seems fine with very limited testing.
-
Hello. What password to use for that ftp account? i can't download the file without that

I assumed that most people interested in new firmware from this site already has subscribed to this thread. So I updated the thread and the topic instead of starting a new thread.

works perfectly here :)

Did a search for new firmware and found the 2.05EUB08 suggested by my router DIR-825. At first everything was fine but when I tried to download files from my NAS (Seagate Black Armor NAS 220) it was really, really, REALLY slow, not even possible to use. Did not matter if I tried cable connected or wireless, same poor result. However, upload to the NAS was still ok. I'm not sure if D-Link is the only one to blame as I have read about similar problems for other Black Armor users with other routers.
I'm now back on the my previous firmware 2.01EUB16 (Beta01) and that works great. When will I ever learn that latest is not always the best... :P

I have upgraded to 2.08. Seems to be working... :)
-
Just upgraded ;)
-
There is a huge bug in the latest beta firmware...
It is not possible to change the WLAN password (tried WPA2 only, AES only and WPA and WPA2 with TKIP).
Pre-shared key is always set to 1234567890. It does not matter what you type into the text field.
-
What browser are you using? Try a different browser?
Your are logged in under Admin?
Did you reload the saved comfig after applying the beta or did you manuallt setup the router from scratch? Try a factory reset with out loading any config files.
-
I used firefox 12 to do so and I tried it from scratch meaning no previous config file was loaded.
I now went back to the previous firmware version (2.05EUB09) which works without this problem.
I could imagine that it has something to do with the changed settings for WPS.
-
Have you disabled WPS?
-
I tried both, with WPS disabled and enabled but I had no success at all in changing the pre-shared key (for both bands 2,4 and 5,0 GHz).
-
Well it is beta. I presume you have gone back to the last working version by now?
-
Yeah, of course. And I'm aware that it is a beta. ;)
I just wanted to inform the guys here. :)
-
I'll pass this along too. ;)

Thanks for sharing.
I can confirm this (partly). I reset my config and changed the pre-shared key. I was unable to connect with the key I had set. But I could not connect with the key 1234567890 either?!
I loaded my old config with the pre-shared key already set. Not recommended but it seems to work. :P

I thought it was set to 1234567890 because the WPS connection works. I then displayed the password in Windows and saw it was set to 1234567890.
But never mind. I knew that with the config. That was why I could use this firmware before but then I tried to change the password. :P
