i dont know why, but me dns323 is now very very slow in everything: accessing the shares, accessing the web page for config, transfers... everything...
I reset the factory settings

Just by way of benchmarking my DNS-323, I copied the 75Gb, 8116 files of my iTunes folder from a SATA drive on my desktop PC to the DNS-323 via wired 100mbps network today. It took 19 hours 22 minutes.

Is that a reasonable speed or a touch slow?

Is my math correct in working that out at about 8mbps?

If you're maxing your 100mbit connection you should be expecting 11-12MB/s, this is not scientific simply what Windows 7 will report during a copy of a large file.

Why don't you give NASTester (http://www.808.dk/?code-csharp-nas-performance) a try and let us know of the results?

I think you indeed are slow but some further testing with one file only will verify.

davelap, would tell us the S/W Ver., disks being used and how the disks are formatted?  These  may help the more knowledgable members.
