Title: UPnP Metadata
Post by: johnelle on February 25, 2011, 04:22:16 AM
Just started using the UPnP server and noticed it isn't serving any of the metadata.  For example all music includes embedded tags and a file .jpg.  None of that shows up like when I use software-based servers.  Is this a missing feature in the UPnP implementation on the DNS-323?

Unfortunately, yes. But, since fw 1.10 claims to be DLNA 1.05 certified, I hope this problem will be gone.

Ah yes the .10 firmware that everyone has been waiting for...its been over a year hasn't it?

BTW I thought it was weird that when I got the box from newegg it had .7 firmware on it and I had to upgrade it immediately to handle the 2TB disks I bought.  Most manufacturers update their firmware as they make new hardware.  .9 is a year old.
