Nice to see devs support the cameras from Dlink!

If you ever feel like writing one for HP webOS, the market is wide-open!  No real IP viewing apps available yet...  (and yes, I own two webOS phones presently!)   ;)

Do you support the DCS-930L? How do you talk to the DCS-930L? Do you use RTSP or something else?

tinyCam Monitor (http://tinycammonitor.com/) version 3.3 released with the major performance improvements. Now this is the most CPU efficient solution for Android platform for your D-Link cameras.

Less CPU consumption means more battery usage and better refresh rate. For Honeycomb tablets this brings up to 2x times better performance. Don't believe? Check out this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUSl23XRLkQ).

I am interested in trying Tiny Cam because MultiLive is not working for me, but I see some 1-star comments on the marketplace that I was wondering if you could explain:

"always syncing in background with insecure dropbox"

and

"too limited cams just jpeg mjpeg so upgrade not worth it."

Thanks.

We have released numerous bugfixes regarding Dropbox integration. This feature is optional. If you do not trust Dropbox, just do not use it.

Currently the app supports MJPEG cams only. Full RTSP/H.264 is coming.

If you have any other feature requests please let us know.

Hi alexvas,

Maybe you can help me with getting my DCS-932L working on my google tv.
My Google TV come with the tinyCam Monitor.

I have my DCS-932L up and running on my wireless network.
The scan network option on the tinyCam Monitor app for google tv says it only works for the paid version so I tried to manually add my camera, but did not have any luck getting it to work.

I entered a camera name: DCS932L
Choose camera vendor: Dlink
Choose camera model: DCS-932 (there is no DCS-932L option)
Edit hostname: I put in the camera IP address that is show on the D-link admin status page.
Edit port number: 80 (just left it at the default 80)

I checked the enabled box and run camera status, but if failed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Like I said the camera is up and running on my wireless network. I use mydlink and sensr.net with it and enjoy it very much.

Thanks for your help.

Edited to add: I also put in username and password, but it just sits there on the connecting pop up window and says camera is loading but nothing ever gets loaded.

Thanks again.

Hi Alex,

After installing tinyCam Monitor, I see that H.264 is not supported.

Now I read this also in your post below, I am wondering when H.264 is supported.

Please let me (us) now!

Is there any way to make the sound level monitor graph in the lower right go away when the sound is on.  I have tried everything.  Turning off the "show action bar on live view" setting does not work. I just want the video and sound without that graph cluttering up the view.  I have a Neatgear GTV100 Google box and a D-Link DCS 930L camera.  I did not have this problem until your last update.  Thanks for any help.

Currently H.264 codec is supported for other vendors, not for D-Link. That will be fixed soon.
