can anyone tell me what hard drive you should use in this dir-685? I know it's SATA, but there are several connections like serial ATA ect. can someone give me an example and show photo or link where I can see what kind I need?
Thanx :)

Sata is serial ata, There different speeds but the connection is standard. Here a link for an example. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/250-gb-western-digital-wd2500bevt-scorpio-blue-25-sata-300-5400-rpm-8mb-cache-12-ms?utm_source=google+shopping
You will need a 9mm drive that is the thickness. Also read some of the post on the forum. Good luck M

Be careful in your choice. I had a Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT 500GB stuck in the router's hard drive bay.

thanks, I'll see if I can find somewhere an appropriate disc. I imagine that you use the 2.01WW firmware in the router is also common in English? and it works a little bit?
Gr Marcel.
