Hi, I been having problem with the speed on the DIR 655 since i switch from ATT DSL to comcast cable, before it works fine, but since i switch it to cable the wi-fi speed seem to be much slower, but my Lan connection speed still good. I don't know if there are some optimize for the wireless setting that i have to do?
Please help! Thanks so much !

What DL and UP speeds are you paying for?
What cable modem do you have?
What wireless modes are you using? Try Single mode G, then try Mixed G and N.

I pay for 16mbs but I'm getting 20mbs for LAN right now, and i have Motorola SB5100 for the modem, I did tried both and the speed on my ps3 only at 2.6mbs down and 2.6mbs up....

Your connecting the game console over wireless? If wireless then you wont see speeds like you do on wired. There different on how they transfer data. I would also recommend you take a look at gameing and gamefuel sticky for game consoles here:

You might be able to help the speed on wireless some by switching to a single Wireless mode. Pick one that works well if you need to connect wireless for gaming. It's recommended to use wired for gaming though. ::)

Yea i know, but before when i had ATT, my ps3 speed still much higher than this, and one of my wireless pc still at slow speed too, so i think something wrong with the wireless connection not just the ps3

Try turning off QoS and Advanced DNS Service.
Make sure your ISP DNS addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Have you moved the router since switching from DSL to Cable?
What are the results of using Single mode G and N?
How far away are you from the router? Any walls or floors in between?
Do you see other WiFi routers near by?
Might try changing channels on your router, try 11 first then head down to 1.
Any house cordless phones?

wow after i turn off the QOS service it works!!! speed so much faster now for the ps3! thanks so much man :D you save my day! ;)

What speeds are you seeing now?
I'd like you to try using QoS using the settings in the gamefuel sticky and see if it helps QoS and maintains the speed for you if you have time.

i got 10mbs down on my ps3 now, let me try to optimize the QoS then

The local IP would be the same IP that i reserved right?

Yes.
