Post by: Eric-Tom on March 12, 2011, 10:04:08 AM
How do you use DDNS SETTINGS in DNS 323 to link to my web address? I have my own web address for FTP server and I registred for an account with https://www.dlinkddns.com... now what should I do in DDNS SETTINGS so that when a user type my URL it goes to my FTP?

THANK YOU.

In a nutshell, you need to configure your domain with an FTP CNAME record that points to your DDNS address. You also need to configure either your router or the NAS to login to your DDNS account, so that your external IP address is updated.
You will need to open up FTP ports on your firewall and port forward these requests to your NAS.

You might want to get your DDNS address configured and working before getting your domain to work too.
