Title: DFL-210 VPN Setup connect through ms vpn pptp, logon and drop clients
Post by: crobison on March 15, 2011, 10:29:46 AM
I setup the DFL-210 Vpn Services exactly as it says in the instructions, the client connects no problem, but when another client connects to vpn, the connection drops for that user..   Is there a licence for vpn clients limitation?  or is there an update missing?

Hi,

Do you use different user login name to connect on PPTP server of DFL800 or do you use same login name?

Another question, PPTP user are on a same place (IE Network) when they are connecting on PPTP server?

Hi, i encountered this problem too.
my solution:

go here: http://www.dlink.com.sg/support/support_detail.asp?idproduct=99
download firmware: 2.27
install and upgrade the current firmware.
test again.

if it doesn't work, check the user authentication
1) go User Authenticatoin
2) go User Authentication rules
3) select PPTP_A_rules group
4) go to restriction tab
5) tick on allow multiple logins per username

that should do the trick! try it!

Two clients - from the same public IP?
Different logins or the same?

(Btw, multiple logins is allowed by default)

is the DFL-210 setup as your router, or just a firewall?
